When we started out, we played on the corner in downtown Evergreen, Colorado. We were intending to be a Gypsy/Celtic band, but instead we became sort of a jazz band. We originally took the name ‘The Cornerboys’ to celebrate our street music style. ‘Saguaro’ features the Before the Rain trio, Meckles, Chico and Dr. IGG!’s brother in a mellow collection of original compositions that spotlight the Native American flute and other folk flutes, guitar, saxophone, and North African drums. We have made several cuts from the Saguaro CD available for download, as well as the ‘Saguaro Sunrise’ video.
